Story: Lieutenant Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) investigates the shooting of his partner Nordberg (O.J. Simpson), uncovering a sinister plot masterminded by wealthy businessman Vincent Ludwig (Ricardo Montalbán): to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during her Los Angeles visit using hypnotic mind‑control. Along the way, Drebin teams up with Ludwig’s assistant, Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley), who becomes both his romantic interest and a key ally. The climax plays out during a chaotic baseball game, where Drebin poses as an opera-singing umpire to avert the assassination. Ludwig is spectacularly dispatched (via bus, steamroller, and marching band), and the Queen is saved just in time.
