A riveting sport cum political drama, Deiva Machan is based on the Real life Kabaddi Player Mannathi Ganesan who bagged the Arjuna award in the 90’s. Dhurv Vikram’s acting hits out of the park and Mari’s message that problems are not caused by the two people who have a ‘Enmity’ between them, but the extremist idiots who are responsible for the oppression of the weak, the wreckage of public property and annihilating harmony between them. Nivas’s score was scintillating and beautifully elevated the scenes, with a strong cinematography and edit pattern. One thing I loved was that the Present timeline was shown in monochrome and the flashback- in colour which added a new level of depth and involvement to the film! (9/10)
